This style of mausoleum was part of the movement that revived exotic styles of memorial architecture from Eastern and Oriental sources. This style represents a Bedouin tent rendered in stone but with Christian motifs and Art Deco style gateway.

This style was quite a fad for a time. I've seen many gateways like this in many different places, sometimes clashing with the architecture of the tomb itself.

More Nouveau than Deco.
I like how the stained glass shows through the gate. No doubt, though, the architect would cringe over the chain and lock.

The two styles overlapped so much...

The chain and lock are necessary evils since there is no other way to secure the tomb from intruders.
