First Photographic Masterpiece

This is the first 8x10 I ever made from scratch that just leapt out at me and made me realize what I could accomplish. This was taken in August 1994 at the historic Forest Hills Cemetery in Madison, Wisconsin. The model, Natira Hammerstrom, is posing by the memorial sundial serving as the cenotaph of Wisconsin born historian Frederick Jackson Turner. SHe did the costuming and makeup herself.

I made only two 8x10 prints of this from the black and white negative. The original is in the private collection of author Neil Gaiman.
